Why is it worth having your van wheel alignment checked?
When you have repairs carried out on your work vehicles, you need to check if the work carried out will have affected the wheel alignment. If it has, you need to check if that garage can do the wheel alignment for you or call us and we can book you in. Often garages do not have the ability to carry out wheel alignment on such large vehicles but we do!
Repairs that can affect your wheel alignment include replacing track rod ends, repairing / replacing suspension, bushes etc.
If your vehicle is pulling to one side and / or you notice uneven tyre wear, or you have hit a particularly bad pothole, had a collision, these are indications that the alignment needs checking.
Misaligned vans cause unnecessary tyre wear which is especially an issue on high mileage work vehicles, and negatively affect fuel consumption. It’s cost effective to have your tracking corrected than replacing costly tyres too often and spending more on fuel. Generally, it is recognised that misaligned wheels can reduce tyre life by thousands of miles, depending on it’s severity.
We also do wheel alignment checks for FREE so if you’re not sure if your alignment is out, but you want it checking, the check itself is free. You only pay for us to correct the tracking if it is out of tolerance.
